Hip Hop and rap star, Lloyd Banks is friend and rhymer for 50
Cent's G-Unit along with Young Buck and the sometimes incarcerated Tony
Yayo. At inception, Banks and Yayo had been top hip hop emcees in their
Southside, Queens neighborhood, when they came up with the G Unit
concept. They have grown to include Nashville's Young Buck. Signing
with Shady/Aftermath, G Unit expanded with a Reebok athletic shoes
sponsorship, and a recording label through Interscope Records. First
released was "Beg For Mercy," with Lloyd's favorite cut being rap
original "Smile."
